Process DQCs: Cellular Respiration

Respiration Diagnostic Question Clusters

Cellular respiration is an important process in biology, breaking and forming bonds to provide usable forms of energy for organisms. Often, students memorize the chemical equations and locations where respiration occurs, but they forget about the matter and energy inputs and outputs, which have large implications for the organisms where respiration occurs and ecosystems they reside in. Two parallel Respiration DQCs (RA & RB) are designed to assess levels of student reasoning regarding matter and energy transformation?s during this process in a variety of organisms.
